Default Carb overflow 90cc polaris

I keep getting gas from my overflow at the bottom of carb. This first time I made sure the float was not stuck so I figured it was a worn needle and seat. This quad had only about 10 hours on it when this happend. Since a new needle and seat is about $35.00 I found a used carb of the same type on Ebay and got about 5 hours of riding on it and now it is doing the same thing. Has anyone else had this problem?

We had the same problem when it still had the stock carb and it was the needle and seat. We were running 10% ethanol gas at the time , Maybe thats the problem. I had the same problem with a riding mower and switched to regular unleaded and havent had any problems since.

Are you running a good filter on your fuel lines??Could be some crap in the tank that keeps working its way into the needle and seat and causing you problems.

It must have a rubber tip on the needle that gets eaten away by that type of gas. The problem I have is that in my area most gas has ethanol in it. Can you tell me what type of carb you went to? Thanks.

Thats the problem in Iowa too. We went with a Kehien 20mm carb when we changed the pipe and a bunch of other stuff. We are running race gas and Klotz oil. If you dont need race gas you could run Amoco Ultimate. Its higher octane and doesnt have ethanol in it. All are parts we have been getting from Hetricks. Great service and very friendly and helpfull people.
