Has anyone ever had problems with cam chains streaching?The problem motor is a 1992 honda 250x,all of a sudden it went to streching chains beyond the limit of the tensioner.The last one went south in less then an hour.All I can come up with is a weak oil pump?Dont know,does anyone have any ideas.

 

Are you installing the adjuster correctly? I put an adjuster back into a 300ex, wrong, and it wore out the chain in that day.

 

that is a possibility,Iwill check that more carefully when I tear it back down this time,thakns for the info.

 

You have to back it off, and hold it "released" when you bolt it back in.
