Default aftermarket air filter makes carb need jetting???

i have an 02 raptor 660 and i just put a slip on exhaust on and now i want to just put an aftermarket K&N or Twin Air air filter. well i went to my dealer and he told me with the new airfliter on my carb will need to be jetted is that true??????

Sometimes you need to rejet, sometimes you don't. When you install the filter put in a new spark plug too, and after you ride a few minutes check the color on the end of the plug. if it's white you need to richen up, if it's black you are running too rich (unlikely, but possible if it was jetted way too rich to begin with). Your target color is tan or light brown.

If you're taking off the airbox lid you'll prolly have to, but if you leave it on you most likely won't have to rejet.
