need to drain oil also, chances are you got water in there too. you may need a spark plug wire. if you ride in deep water alot you may want to put a bead of silicon around your pull start and air box to keep it sealed.(im getting ready to put a snorkle on mine, you might want to check it out.

When you sink an engine in water you don't just try and crank it over unless you want to ruin it. You need to get the water OUT! Next time you do this make sure to pull the spark plug and crank it over to get any water out of the cylinder. Also be sure to drain the airbox before you do this or you'll just suck in more water, and dry out your airfilter too. As soon as possible change the oil if it's discolored at all (looks like a milkshake). You should flush out the oil...drain old oil, put in new oil then drain the new oil to ensure all the water is OUT, then go ahead and put in some more new oil.
As for draining the gas tank...water probably didn't get in the tank unless it was fully submerged but if you want to drain it you can pull the line for the reserve off and let it drain into a bucket. Why would you want to buy a pump when you can let gravity do it for you for free? I wouldn't bother putting any silicone around your airbox lid.
