front end noise in my 98 sportsman 500.
#1
When I release the throttle at high speeds there is a very loud metal clanking noise as the 4-wheeler slows down. It doesn't make noise any other time. 4-wheel drive works fine. Maybe related to ebs? Also handle bar throbs back and forth. Checked fluid in hubs. Jacked up front and back, spun wheels, found no problem. I did find the brake pads were worn and rotor warped on the right front (where i think the sound is coming from.I replaced them and inspecked the cv joint and all seemed ok when I pulled the boot back but the sound and shake are still there. any thoughts before I rip into it?
