Default 06' Banshee top speed

My buddy just recentlt bought a new 06' Banshee. He had the dealer put full Pro Circuit pipes and a dyno jet jet kit on it. When we went to pick it up we were talking to the tech who did the work, he then told us that with the pipes and jet kit that this bike would now hit top speeds of 90-95 mph. I personally think he was blowing smoke out his a$$. What is your thoughts about this? Any help would be appreciated. It really bugs me that now whenever he talks to someone about bikes he has to throw in that "my Banshee will do 95 mph!" I personally dont think its possible without changing gears/sprockets. My guess would be it is still a 70-75 mph bike. Atleast that is what I was told they do out the factory. Thanks in advance guys/gals.

pipes and jet dont make a machine faster. gearing changes do. But top speed I dont know maybe 70-80 mph.

A piped banshee can be pretty quick and pretty fast considering it's barely upgraded from stock. That said, he wont be pushing triple digit top speed numbers. Pro circuits are good pipes, but not the best even for an internally stock machine. He'll probably gain a few mph on top end but without accelleration robbing gearing changes he wont see the numbers that he and the dealer are claiming.

Yes, they do. As long as you arent hitting the rev limiter before installing the pipes it's perfectly feasible that the increased power will allow the bike to pull higher revs and therefore gain top speed. Its only when installing the pipe on a bike like the ltz400 which hits the limiter in top gear from the factory floor that you wont see any top speed gains from power increases.

true. But I figured a banshee would hit the top revs easily but I was not sure. BUt the point I was trying to get across was that it would not make it that much faster.

Cool, thanks guys. I can maybe see a few mph like you said but if I'm right, they only do about low to mid 70's stock and you will not see anywhere near 90 w/ pipes and a jet kit. If any one has more let it out. Thanks again.
