Need help w/removing e-brake sensor
#1
Hello,
I believe the problem that my 2001 Raptor 660 has is that the parking brake sensor is stuck on because according to what other members here had with their bikes having no reving past idle and some back firing. That's what I have so now I have to remove it.
Can anyone please tell me how I should go about removing at least the sensor so that I don't have this "high rev lock out" problem anymore?
I'd really appreciate it !

There will be 2 sensors on the clutch perch, follow the wires down to the point where they connect to the harness, you will probably have to remove the hood or front fenders. Unplug the sensor that has a single plastic connector, but leave the one that has 2 individual spade connectors. Then you can follow the unplugged wire back up to the perch, and detach it. That's all there is to it.

Thanks a lot "Recon99",
Before I read your reply to me I noticed that the parking cable by the brake caliper was unhooked, my friend must have done this to make it easier to get to the axle adjuster bolts to tighten my chain for me. He didn't think anything of it since I never use my parking brake anyway and who would have thought that there would be a stupid rev limiting sensor as part of this assembly. So since the cable was loose this made the sensor button at the clutch grip to "pop" up which turned "on" the rev throttle limiter. Temporarily I just put the cable back and the sensor is "off" for now but when I get some more time I want to eliminate this sensor job once and for all. I'll follow what you said.
thanks again!
