tail light or brake light? neiterh should stay on, but figuring out which one it is may help steer you in the right direction to find the problem.

..thanks for the reply..I deleted the wrong duplicate, but it is the TAIL LAMP & not the brake lamp..I see now the lamp will turn off in a few moments.. but the lamp remains lit all the time when engine running..will call the dealer..thanks

hey that's pretty wild man, it goes off after a few seconds, like all the new cars? given that feature, maybe they dohave some feature to be on all the time while motor is running, kinda like the running lights feature on allt eh GM's and Chevy's. Let us know what the dealer says, its interesting for sure.

..ok here's the facts..called the dealer & he said hold on..came back and said yup..it 'spose to do that..tail lamp (NOT brake light ) stays on when engine is running all the time..it WILL turn off a few seconds after you turn the key off.. suspose to be a "Safety" issue.. hmmmm I might need to install a "Switch" to keep it off then switch it on for night riding...thats the way it is i guess....

anyone see page 115 of the otty 800 owners manual..says if the speedometer "Light" ever burns out..you have to repalace the whole speedometer..it has L.E.D. lamps in it...yowzaa ..!!

..on a lighter side..took my wife for a spin as she sat behind me.I gave it a couple 3/4 open punches...almost lost her off the back...so any passangers you give rides too...better warn them...LOL

wow I can't believe that this so called "safety lighting" has found its way to quads now from the street! Oh well, no biggie unless you need stealth mode some night sneeking up on something I guess.

don't worry about the LED's - they are semiconductors that glow, there is no filiment to burn out, and most LED's last many thousands of hours unless actually physically damaged, they are the wave of the future.
