I think that the first year was 1996, only 2 models, both454. If you got a two wheel drive it was orange, if you got four wheel drive it was green. They steered hard and turning radius was large but they were built like tanks.

 

I thought it was 1995, but they could have been 1996 models. Seems to me in that fall I remember seeing them.

 

Well, according to Alpha-Sports and Browns Leasure Worlds illustrated parts list, 1996 was the first year and a 4X4 was all that was available.

That's possible, I could be off a year. We started handling them where I use to work in 1997 or 98. The year be fore they came out with the 250 and 300.

Wife left for work at 7:30 and I had to be at the DAV at 10:00 and it is a 50 minute drive and I was stopping for breakfast.
