Default 2004 400 Brake Problem Running out of Ideas. Help.

I have a 2004 400 Arctic Cat. I am having a problem with my brakes, the hand brake is soft until the very end of the stroke and there is very little braking force. I took it in, they bled the brakes and said I needed a new master cylinder. I bought the new master cylinder and bleed the system a few times. I am still having the same issue.

I cannot figure this out and I was hoping someone might know how to fix this. I even tried pushing brake fluid in through the bleeder valve and no difference. I have bleed the system the old fashion way and with a bleeder.

No pressure till the last little bit of the stoke and I have to squeeze the lever hard to have any effect.

Any help would be great,
Nathan

Sounds like there is air still trapped in the system and the brakes don't work until you compress the air. Have you blled each wheel cylinder, starting with the ond closest to the master cylinder and working you way out to the farthest (rear) one?

Did you buy the new style master cylinder which is aluminum colored or the old style black one?Im having the same problem with mine, if you set the e-brake it will release pressure on its own. I think the cylinder for the 05' is a new design according to what ive seen on here somewhere .Mine needs replaced but still holds if you pump them. Also i had a rear pad get so bad that the caliper ring went through the backing plate of the pad and it let the cup of the caliper out beyond the o-ring and i had no brakes at all.

I just bought a replacement one for the 04. It was the same as the first as far as I know.

And yes i have bled each one a bunch of times. I even pushed fluid threw the bleeder and filled the master cylinder.

I don't know what else to try. I am lost.
