Few questions, first I have an 04 Yfz with pipe, jet, filter. Dont get me wrong its fast, but i need more, what is the next mod I should do to juice it up without losing its reliability?Does Dual exhausts make a diff?Last i do almost all Dune riding, and was thinkin of shavin my front fenders would this be hard to do by myself, or should I take it in to a shop?...thanx for any input, peace$$$

Next step is a set of cams, porting the head, big valves.
Dual exhaust promotes more top end HP. IF you do the above mods and rev the **** out of it, it will work decently. Problem is most people want to bolt on duals to look cool without taking care of the whole package and actually lose HP. Duals add weight.
You can shave the fenders yourself or have a shop do it for you if you are inadept, lazy or rich.

If you want more power with reliability than the best thing to do is keep away from any internal engine work. Do you have a full exhaust system or just a slip on? If a slip on then I'd go with one of the full FMF, Sparks, or Yoshimura systems. You never mentioned if you did the cam mod or not, if not than I highly suggest doing this to increase your top end HP by 2-3 HP and make it quite a bit more zingy on the top end. If you haven't heard of the company Fuel Customs than you should check out their new air box eliminating intake they made for the YFZ, it's very trick and adds very good HP. Also, if you want a little more over rev on the top end to keep the power on while climbing hills and etc I'd go with an aftermarket CDI.
I found it easy to cut the fenders with a small hand held hacksaw and when done with the cutting I just took some sand paper to the edges to smooth them out. I've heard that heating whatever your using to cut the plastic can be very helpful, but that hacksaw went pretty fast.
