I have an 01 warrior that pops out gear (2nd to neutral) under load ie: at the dunes. It will also miss a shift (3rd-2nd) every now an then. I had a 97 warrior that did the same thing. Is this a common thing or am I just cursed?

 

syncro and fork are wore out

 

First thing to do is check that the drive select (forward-reverse) is fully engaged, this could cause it to pop out of gear sometimes. Other than that it's not a normal thing, probably a bent shift fork.
