Hi.. I find I can get my Polaris Phoenix into reverse easily, but when the engine is hot, its diffcult to get it out without forcing the selector.

No problem when the engine is cooler..

As an idea I switched off the engine, and the selector moved easily, and then started it up again..

Any reason for this?

 

I had that problem on my sportsman a while back.. It was my clutch, mine was prematurely worn, but also might need adjustment.. Only did it when it got hot as well.. Think of it as if you were trying to shift a manual car without pushing down the clutch peddle.. I guess my clutch was just not releasing..
