Okay, last weekend I went to a friends house and rode with them for like 10 hours. Well there was 2 other blaster. One is a completly stock '05 (Howard), the other was a modded '02 blaster (Tommy) with reed spacer, rear tires, bars, fmf full system (fatty), and was bored over and has like 210cc. Man, I figured I would smoke Howard, and totally get smoked by Tommy's blaster in this drag that was about 400 ft.. I raced howard like 3 times from a dead stop, all 3 times I killed him to like 6 th gear ( I also got the holeshot) in 4th, I was like a good 2 lenghts, by 6th, he slowly passed me in 6th and beat me by like 2 ft. I was wondering what, the he!! just happened???? IT was like that all 3 times. Well me and Tommy were neck and neck the whole race, I beat him once he beat me twice. I am proud that my blaster was able to stay with him. But Howard, is a new rider and he just always beats us by like 2ft. whats the deal? So I checked the gearing things and I now have my 14 tooth, front sprocket on there so I sould be able to pull him out of the hole still cause he is to chicken to drop the clutch on a hard packed dirt road cause he sucks at wheelies. But now I should win. What do you guys think, because how could he have beaten me?????? Thanks.

 

I can think of a few possibilites:

1. Your jetting is way off and it's losing power from it
2. Your air filter may be dirty
3. You may be losing power and need a rebuild
4. Your clutch may be slipping
5. You suck

 

My blaster is running, fine. Its rejetted, and its great. On the gearing calculater He was a higher top end, cause he has bigger tires, so when I top out he has like 6 mph. On me. So thats why he would pass me. When I vs. Tommy who ever got the holeshot, would win. Now that I got a 14 tooth, I well beat him since I have more speed.
