Default raptor reverse rev limiter stuck when in forward gears

i have a 2004 raptor, ran great loaded it up from riding, when i got home and unloaded it, i went to drive it into the shop and the engine wouldn't rev out, it was hitting a rev limiter at really low rpms, so i put it in reverse and by the sound of the engine while hitting the reverse rev limiter, it sounds like its limiting the forward gears rev limter to the same as reverse gear. ive heard people talk about this problem before, i know an old buddy of mine's raptor did this in the middle of a TT race, but hes no longer around for me to ask. so if anyone has a fix or advice it would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

It's more likely that it's your parking brake rev limiter that's stuck on, which would make sense since you probably used the parking brake when you were transporting it. You can bypass the pb rev limiter by following the sensor wire on the perch down to the wiring harness under the fender, and unplugging the single plastic connector.
