I bought an eton sierra dxl 90 which i am going to pick up on thursday evening. According to the guy i bought it from (ebay thing) it starts fine, idles fine, then "seems to run out of gas when you try to accelerate" . I am going to clean the carb and after doing a search i see that these units sometimes get the spark arrestor screen plugged so i will do that also. Since the memorial day weekend is here, we are going to want to get it running right away so i am posting now to see if there are any other things i need to look at on this specific machine. I will have one disappointed kid if i don't get it running for the weekend.

In addition to what you mentioned, you might also look for a kinked fuel line or vent hose and change the fuel filter.
