Every once and awhile I will get my 2wd/4wd lights flashing on the dash and I loose my EBS?? When I stop the bike and turn it off wait a second and start it back up all is fine and doesn't flash anymore for awhile? I also have my belt light on guessing that's just because I just tripped 100 hours and I know how to reset that.

 

My neighbor and I both bought '06 BF 650i's. Both have about 25 hours on them. His is doing the same thing with the 2wd/4wd light. We were out riding and he shifted into 4wd. It didn't go into 4wd and the light kept alternating between 2wd and 4wd. Shut it down for a few minutes and all was normal. An hour later it was doing the same thing.

He's going to take it to the dealer as it is still under warranty. I'll let you know what he finds out. Please let me know anything if yu find out what the problem is first. Thanks.

Thanks yeah let me know what the dealer says. I called a friend of mine at a Kawi dealer yesterday they told me to check the wires running from the front differential actuator make sure there are no shorts or anything have not had a chance to check that out yet.

 

Just wondering if you ever figured out the problem or if anyone else has had this problem?

Yeah the problem was not really a "problem" at all it was just a maintainence issue...after 100 hrs of use you'll get a check belt light and this may also cause the 2wd-4wd light to flash...I reset the check belt light and the problem was sovled!
