Hey guys I've got a question. I was riding last weekend through some pretty good mud and actually got stuck once. While trying to get out I heard a weird noise coming from the right front around the differential area. After I got out everything was good. After I got it all washed off I noticed something that I didn't think was like that before I went out. On the right hand side of the differential when looking at it from the front there is a green piece coming out of the differential and then the CV boot starts. Is that normal that you can see it? Has the CV boot slipped down or what else could be the problem? I wasn't hard on it by any means and I made sure I wasn't spinning when I grabbed the diff lock lever. What could this be? Please let me know.

IM pretty sure that is just an extender or somthing, I balieve mine has it on the 360 so im sure its fine.

 

If your quad is new, you probably have "Oh my fricken God, what was that noise" syndrome. I still have it and it sucks!

 

I sure do!! This was the first time I really took it into some mud that I knew I needed 4x4 in. Everything seems to be working fine, I just wasn't sure about that green thing coming out of the right side of the diff.

 

I can see the green sleeve on my '06 BF 650i. Take a deep breath........Ahhhhhhhhhhhh it's perfectly normal.
