My 89 warrior clunks when I turn it off. I think its the starter not disengaging. Is there a fix or no problem? Also it has a little tick like a lifter is this a problem? I had a buddy listen and he said his old Kawasaki sounded the same. Thanks for any help

I don't think you have anything to worry about. I already replaced the starter clutch on mine, and it still will make that clunk when I shut it off. It's just the one-way bearing engaging the starter when the engine turns off. Don't worry about valve noise either, the yfm350 engine is just noisy because it has 2 big valves instead of 4 smaller ones like most more modern quads.
