400ex shock install on a blaster. Please help????
#1
I recently replaced the front shocks on my sons 2003 Yamaha Blaster with Banshee shocks. It made a world of difference. I now just purchased a Honda 400ex rear shock to install in the rear of the quad.
The question I know have for you guys that did this is:
On the bottom of the blaster stock shock it has a bushing that is fixed inside the the shock. The 400 ex shock has no bushing at all and is different. What did you guys do here?
Thanks, D

I put a Honda 450r rear shock on my kids blaster,I think it mounts the same as the 400ex. I just drilled the holes on the bottom of the new shock bigger and used the stock lower shock mounting pin from the blaster.

That's pretty much what I did with my son's Blaster, putting a Z400 rear shock on it. I did the Banshee fronts as well, on +2" a arms. Now I can jump it and I weigh 195, and it lands great.
