It seems like the splines on the shaft of my axle are stripped. Now I need to remove the axle and am having problems. I have the wheels off. I have the axle lock nuts off. I have the brake off of the rh side. I am hitting the axle from the LH side with the nut on and with a 2x4 protecting the shaft end. I beat on that thing HARD and it is not moving. Did I miss something? I do not have the manual but it is on order. I asked the dealership but they said "we do not give out technical information" so what now?

 

ok I just had to hold my tongue right and hit harder. Now I see I need a axle. possibly a diff. Anyone have an extra?

thanks for the heads up on that atv that was being parted. The axle is from a 98 and is not the same as my bike so i am still looking. Thanks again though!! Still looking.
