Fuel guage working on 450?
#1
I don't have but 100 miles on my 06 450, so I'm not that familiar yet, but I'm doubting the fuel guage is working. I'm sure it would hold a gallon of fuel right now, but all of the squares on the guage are still colored. In other words it is showing full when I know it's not, or so it would seem to me. Anyone have more knowledge about this?
Thanks

Well, I answered my own question. We got it out and rode about 20 miles just now. I didn't top it off before we left. It is now showing 1/2 tank. Most likely too very accurate, but it does work. Thanks for you input.
I do have one more question. The valves rattle quite a lot on hard accerleration. Is this normal, or do they need adjusting? The book says 87 octane is ok.

on my wifes 06 450 the fuel gauge is about the same set up, it never shows true readings. all i use is 87 octane in our wheelers. ands yes you need to adjust the valves in them. seems kinda of low miles though. we have over 12o miles on hers and its not rapping. i would have to read the book to see when its do for the valves.
