Just got a recall notice in the mail for the Outy. It says its for the new Can Am's also. Odd, it has to do with the foot brake. It says some could be inadvertantly riding the brake and the brake system could over heat. Anyone else have this recall? I hope I'm not posting something already beat to death.

I'll have to check the vin now that I think about it. It may be for the DS I traded in.

 

I just received one today. It is a general recall for all 2006, and some 2007 Outlander 650 and 800 ATV's for a change in the rear brake pedal location

 

ya guys we just put those on ours today at work all it is is a piece that fits in the middle of the pedal n bolts down to it so that the rider "can feel" it easier

 

05DSRIDER you are correct. Its a fix for the people that are driving around with the brake on. The 650 and 800s are powerful enough "wont bog down" so most people wont notice if they are driving around with there foot on the brake. So a person has to lift there foot a bit to activate the brake now.

 

Just think of all the money you will save on motor hop ups now that you are not riding and racing with the brake on[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
