I bought a new '06 Grizz this past April and I was finally able to take it on some serious trail riding this last week (worked awesome!). On some sharp switchbacks when I would turn the wheels all the way to the left, the throttle cable would tighten up and it would want to accelerate. Is there an easy way to adjust that cable or is there something I should look for?

 

Turn the handlebars all the way to the left and trace the cable down, it may be pinching or something of that nature. I'd start there.

 

You might need to get a new throttle cable. Only a $15 part, though.

 

The manual says to adjust the free play ,it should be 3-5mm( 0.12-0.20 in.) At the throttle lever . Try to adjust it at the carb 1st if you cant obtain that spec. you can do it at the throttle lever adjustment also .I had to do it to mine . good luck.

 

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll take a look at it this weekend when I have more time and after it's been cleaned up.
