2002 Honda Recon Blinking 1st gear
#1
I have a 2002 Honda Recon. Last year it was blinking 3 times, I replaced the angle sensor and it has been fine...until now. The 1st gear light is now blinking 5 times. I can manual shift. Anyone have an idea of what I need to check?

first, do the clutch adjustment. the motor has a hard time shifting gears if the clutch doesnt disengage all the way.
5 blinks is the ECU motor driver circuit. check continuity from the ECU to the motor on both wires. Jumper the motor manually with a battery, it should turn. if it doesnt, the motor is faulty. check the connections over for corrosion and make sure the terminals are tight. if all else looks good, replace the ECU.
