Default 1999 335 sportsman need help

i just got a 1999 335 sportsman and i rode it a couple of hrs and when i got back
home pulling into my garage i started to pull in but the atv will barely pull out of its tracks its like the belt
or clutch is slipping.i already have the cover removed from the clutch and i am a rookie when it comes to a cvt tranny.
so could anyone tell me what i should do next to diagnose my problem?i think its the belt but im not sure.note this atv had a lot of use on it before i got it.i also have other problems with this atv but this is my main concern right now.

Hard to say with the info. put it nuetral, keep hands and feet away from the clutchs along with any tools. Start it up. Does the front clutch move in? DOes the back cluth spread apart? How does the belt look. It may be a problem with the back clutch. The buttons inside may be worn causeng it not to shft correct.

Just go buy a belt and some secondary clutch buttons to eliminate that problem. With the age it will need them any way then go from there.

Default 1999 335 sportsman belt/clutch help needed

i just started the atv with the cover off, in neutral and the front clutch didnt try to engage until i pressed the throttle
then it tighted against the belt.then i put it in low gear and pressed the throttle and the front clutch engaged and the rear clutch opened up,but my brother could hold the atv back while i pressed the throttle, while we were doing this you could see the belt slipping.so i shut down the atv and took the belt off and i mean i came off very easy,is this common or is the belt stetched?upon inspection of the belt the outer edges looked like they had a glazed shiny look and the inside of the belt where the teeth are there was cracking at the base of all the teeth of the belt.i hope this helps explain my problem.I am open to all suggestions here.

thanks in advance.

Sounds like belt but even a worn belt should still pull. Try a belt first then the buttons. The buttons are only $2-3 each. You will need 3.
