Default 06 rancher cdi upgrade

Is there an upgrade for the new2006 350 ranchers?

Can't seem to find any performance upgrades for my new quad. If anyone has any good tips or where to find performance parts the help would be great.

I don't believe too many aftermarket CDIs or ECMs exist for any of the mid-bore utility machines, simply because they are not detuned by the factory enough to warrant such a product, if at all.

Nobody to my knowledge makes any CDI or rev box upgrades for the rancher, but Air filter/exhaust pipe/jetting makes a huge difference, they are corked up pretty good at the factory for emissions reasons.

HighLifter also has a 375 big bore kit and high-compression piston, cam, etc. for this, but remember aftermarket parts will reduce the reliability of the original Honda engineering. But it's options.

Would just a pipe and jet kit affect the reliability?

any modifications to create more power will put more stress on engine, clutch, and transmission components. So, any thing you do to create more power does decrease the reliability of the machine. Some things have a greater affect than others, just do what you're comfortable with. That's the trade off.

to answer your question of whether a pipe/jet/filter will decrease the reliabilty, YES. but it has a minimal impact as opposed to actually opening up the engine and changing parts.

Yes, I know all too well, I have a 02 rubicon that I polished the intake and exhaust, twin air air filter, and a pro curcit exhaust and a Web Cam. Just rejetted did not buy a jet kit. IE a fourwheeler mech.

Mine goes well, but it drinks fuel like crazy. Far as hard on rest of it ya sure may have some clutch porblem later.

I think the best thing to do if you have a rancher 350 is to trade in for a bigger machine. I also have 04 grizzly 660,
big machine you won't get bored riding it.
