wheels for DS
#1
Awhile back I bought ITP wheels for my paddle tires. They didn't fit & I had to use a small file to get them too. I later read the Bomb changed the wheel pattern a tad. Anyway a local dealership has a great deal of wheels & tires for about every quad but Bombardiers. Are there any other wheels I could buy that would require little effort to mod & make fit like I did with my ITPs?
Thanks

There will probably be those who rake me across the coals for this, but I have on several occasions purchased the 4/144 bolt pattern and drilled them out. Forget right off the top of my head the bit size but it's only one up from whichever fits. It takes out very little but just enough that the wheels slide right on. I have NEVER had an issue with doing this and we do some hard riding out here in the middle of the Mojave.
If your not comfortable with doing this then don't, but you probably know how hard it is to get Bomb wheels and when you do find them the cost comparison is outrageous.
Don't crucify me over this, I specified if he doesn't have a warm fuzzy then don't drill, but it's the same principal as the file, just much quicker and more uniform. It works for me.

ACE,
I think that is what I did with my rear wheels with paddle tires. All I know is the would not go on the quad without me rattail filing them out. I can't tell any diff riding in the sand. Honda wheels are 4-144 in the front right? But the rear is diff. Anyone know what quad is 144 in the rear too?
