Default Lt250r Quadracer shift lever question

Hey,

I'm looking for an aftermarker shift lever for my 88 lt250r. Or a used OEM one. The shifter on mine currently is a dirtbike shift lever and is way to short. If anyone knows where I can get one, or if anyone has one they want to get rid of, please let me know. Thanks.

there isn't an aftermarket shifter for the quadracers. you can still buy oem shifters. they cost about $30. go to your local dealer and you may have to order it.

The alu ones strip out all the time anyways, which eventually strips the shaft. A banshee shifter is way to long. So what I did was take a banshe shifter, cut it, marked the length I wanted to cut out after trying it. I put the piece on the shaft and had my brother hold the other piece and mark it while I had my foot on the peg. Then I cut the piece out and welded them together, you can't even tell it had been welded plus I've got a steal shifter so I tack welded the shifter onto the shaft because mine was starting to strip.
