update the banshee. I no its getting discontinued now but in 07 yammi put yfz shocks onthe raptor and in 06 the did 80 changes to the yfz. They could have put a better suspension and maybe a aluminum swingarm. COuld you imagine how killer the shee would be with a "yfz" structred frame and suspension. Can you say greatest quad every. Even tho it already is IMO.

EPA wont allowed 2 strokes anymore. They dont want to update it because making it a 4 stroke will ruin its name. (Its like putting a dress on your frist born son) They will just come out with a quad to completely replace it, not to update it. A 450-500 twin 4 stroke would be sweet.

Ive seen the Canada 07 Banshee as well. 8000 Canadian and you can have one too.
As far as a replacement for the Banshee, weve had the 700 Raptor for a year now. It makes more power stock than the Banshee, while weighing 10lbs more, with electric start, reverse, superior suspension\geometry.

What does price have to do with the Banshees replacement. Yeah the 700 costs more. You get what you pay for.
I consider the 700 to be the Banshees replacement. There will be zero 2 strokes made for '07 and newer in the U.S.A. so if you wont accept the 700 as the replacement, youll be presented with a different 4 stroke as its replacement. I cant see Yamaha giving us what we really want( 4 cyl 700-1000 street bike motor), so this is what they offer. The ATV manufactuerers are afraid to offer a quad with lots of power.
As a 700 owner, im not biased towards my bike. Ive owned a Banshee, and now this. The 700 has the comfort, conviniances, better suspension and more power than the Banshee..... but the motor leaves alot to be desired for its size. Its a torque monster, and I beat 450 naturally aspirated all day(which isnt saying much considering the displacement difference). This bike should have made 80hp stock, but it doesnt. 40hp out of a 700? 686cc if you wanna get technical. I think thats a sad story.
