whats the best oil to use in the z/kfx. i use motul 2-stroke in my shee and it runs so much better than yamalube. i use kawi oil right now,whats a good brand to try out?

Oil is so confusing to folks, because there are so many choices........You have old fashion petroleum, and 3 different types of synthetics to choose from. Read this first: http://www.thumperfaq.com/oil.htm

First off, if you pick an oil that is motorcycle specific API SG/JASO MA, you can't go to far wrong. Beyond that, the synthetics are superior to petroleum oil, and the ester synthetics are far superior to the other synthetics. So, my choice is Maxima Extra! I use Amsoil 10w40........... works great for my riding conditions.

Any good name brand cycle/atv oil in the 10/40 or 20/50 wt. is a good choice.

I've been quaddin' for 20yrs.
Best bang for the buck: Shell's Rotella T 15W-40.
But any Cycle specific oil should work.
DO NOT use automotive oil. Almost all auto oils have friction reducers.
Not good for a wet clutch.

For 2-stroke pre-mix: nothing better than Golden Spectro
