I bought this quad used, smoked like crazy when I got it. I rebuilt the engine, had the head worked and put it all back together the engine was already .5 over if it matters. The engine runs with no smoke whatsoever now but does not run well at all. Does not want to rev over about half throttle and has no power when it occassionally floats up there. Sounds like it has a rev limiter and its killing the spark. I do not recal it having this problem before I built it so I imagine I am the problem. I wonder about valve timing as thats about all I can think of that I could have changed. Also do these engine have a rev-limiter in the CDI module? I have a 1996 lt4wd(t) that runs wonderfully no problems whatsoever, I do not think it has a rev limiter buts its kinda tough to tell. Thanks to anyone who can help me figure this demon out.
