I read a post awhile ago about someones kodiak blowing rearend oil up through the breather hose but I cannot find that post. Mine is also doing it now and I was wondering if I put too much in when I changed it. I filled it up to the edge of the filler hole (bottem thread) like the manual said. I remember the post saying that maybe there was water in the rearend that would cause excess fluid which would cause it to blow out the breather. What else would cause it? My rear rubber boot (around the differential?)did have a small hole in it but I repaired it with silicone. If that was leaking could it cause water to enter the rearend also? Does it look like much of a job to replace the boot?
