yea...open the airbox and rejet as stated above...i dont think the rappy can run without the lid? or did they change that on the rappy....if you cant you can either cut holes in it only leaving bracket to hold filter or get a airbox elminator kit.

1. Air box kit...(it does away with your air box and all you have is your K&N and outerwere..$120.00
2. Full exaust..(what ever kind you want)..$250.00 slip on...$450.00 full
3. After market CDI (I would go with the computer programable DYNA)..$350.00
4. CAM (what ever kind you want..$200.00
A raptor really loves these 4 mods..If you do this..Your rappy will be a hole other quad..

i already have a full hindle exhaust system and my carbs' are jetted, wuts the cdi do? and i am might do the cam when i buy a piston over the winter. I do alot of hard trail riding even on days after it rains, so if i get the k&n and remove the air box would i be in trouble with the mud? i think i will upgrade my intake anyways and possible do some modifications to the air box. how should i mod it? and if you think i could get away with removing the air box with my type of riding, let me know.
