I been doing some searching and I can't seem to find an answer. Some say "Yes" others say "No" could someone set this straight for the record? I've got a friend that tore the rubber boot and all of the hub fluid leaked out and he was wondering what he could use something else in place of a Polaris product? And also if this model does take hub fluid where and how would you add it? Any replies will be greatly appreciated.

If you are talking about the cv boot tearibg , you gotta replace the boot and all the kits come with the grease. Look on e-bay the Cvman in Polaris parts. tats where I get mine.

 

There is no "hub" fluid on the 600/700s, its centralized and takes the Pol. Prem. Demand Drive fluid.

Its fairly easy, I did it and you would only need a torque wrench, clamp tool (to make it easy) and lock tite other than standard tools.

I replaced a front and rear boot with the $10 Auto part listed below with this technique and I have a service manual too.

Its not too bad a job but get the clamp tool ($10) or rent it from Advanced Auto or Auto Zone.
You tug on the shaft to release it from the c-clip in the differential, if its the outer you don't need to do that I believe.

Of coarse using a service manual would be best.

The dealer wanted $30.00 for one CV boot .
Made the trip to Advanced Auto for replacement boot kits.
I found one that was virtually identical to the factory front one with the clamps and lube.
It is CV Boot kit 6-1052 and replaces Alloy boot 10017K for $9.45.
Clamps and grease all in the kit.

This beats $30.00 for a stock one.
