lowering a 660

Default lowering a 660

I read on the forums about how tippy the 660 is in the corners has anyone tried a lowering kit i see them on ebay .

u read on the forums that its tippy? does it seem tippy to you? or do you even have one? If it doesnt seem tippy to you why change it just because of what the forums said. I would widen my quad before i lowerd it tho.

yes i have a 03 660 and i ride at the track and trail ride .i find myself on 3 wheels sometimes and i read in quad magazine wheel spacers on the front at least make it harder to steer and are not worth it .what do you guys think

well if the kits take away travel i sure wouldnt be doing it if i raced on a track.

thanks for the info what about the wheel spacers do they make it harder to turn

Well...some Yamaha guys should jump in here since i dont exactly own a raptor i cannot really say if it will be harder to turn or not. But i think i have heard on here that wheel spacers only belong on the rear of the quad...prob for the hard turning issue they bring when on the front end.

JUMPED. Ok dont ever put them in front, if you want your front spaced either offset the rims or buy +2 a-arms. The you can put 1.5 inch wheel spacers in, they work great, or you can do it the right way and buy a longer axle. I dont like the lowering kits..
