Last night i took out my airfilter and noticed it smelt like Gas!? It is really cold up here in NH and im wondering if its from puting the choke on and runing a high idle when warming it up? any answers would be nice.

It should smell a LITTLE like gas thats only normal. However if you take your airbox lid off and a "puff" of gas fumes comes out then Id have something checked out. besides that sounds pretty normal to smell a little bit like gas.. my blaster filter wreaked of gas and a puff would come out everytime you took the cover off.
Heck, get it checked out anyways, tune up is always good and better off to do it now then later.

One side siezed and it kept running, sounded funny, that was the sound of the rod bouncing off the crank, then I stalled it.. started it back up and then the rod must have fell down inside the crankcase and thats where she stopped, and where the bend came from.. dont try this at home!lol!
