Mine did that too one morning in hunting season when it was very cold. If you just pull choke lever half way, which is all you need anyway, it doesn't stick . I had pulled it over all the way and it was stuck at the carberator. I had to keep moving lever back and forth as it warmed up to get it unstuck.

Mine did that last year as soon as it got real cold here,I thought I was the only one with this problem as I hadn't seen it posted here before. I pulled the rubber boot back away from the cable where it connects to the choke at the carb and put graphite all over it and WD-40d the cable and it has worked better since. The first time I stretched the cable and had to re-adjust it, Yamaha needs to remedy this.

Yea same here, my raptor choke lever got stuck too and it prob had water in it and froze, well last time im washing my quad down with water in the winter again. I thought i was gonna break off the lever but than it finally broke loose and it was better. What a pain in the a$$ thing to happen though. I hate that !!

Hey trailmen remember me??
My reverse cable freezes up and I use WD-40 it works pretty good...you could try using anti-freeze.
Nice snowy weather we got monday night eh?...School was cancelled for me today...I had to snowblow the driveway...my back hurts...LOL

I have the same problem on my kodiak too...when it's freezing out my kodiak's choke won't move...i've figured out the problem...locate the cable line to the carburator...use a wrench to open it ....there is water inside the carburator....remove the water..and you should be good to go...i think the water is coming from the intake when i wash the machine....
