Default 04 Pred 90 went swimming and now will not start.

My daughters bike ended up in a lake with water up to the seat.

It will turn over with the plug out, but will not turn over with the plug in.

Please help, Geoff.

You need to leave the plug out and crank and crank until all the water is out..If it won't crank by the electric start use the kick start....You will need to pull the air cleaner off of the carb and clean it out..Next remove the floatbowl from the bottom of the carb and drain all the water and gas out of the carb...I would spray some wd-40 or something into the cylinder to prevent rusting and help displace the water...Try to get the engine running again as soon as possible to get it lubricated and dried out...Do you think any water may have gotten into the oil injection tank?..If so you might want to drain it too and add some oil to the gas until your sure the oil injection is working properly..Also don't forget to drain the transmission and put some new oil in there as well...I would also pull the side cover off of the transmission and blow dry the variator and clutch with an air hose or something...If the water was clean everything should be ok..If it was muddy water or full of sand you may have some problems...
