2006 450er : problem with oil sucking into airbox
#1
I have a 2006 450er. I was trying to get the hesitation out of the throttle by raising the needle and turning the fuel air ratio screw. After i raised it and turned the screw, i let it warm up and i was tapping the throttle to see if the hesitation was okay and it still had hesitation so i gave up and pushed it back into the shed. As i was pushing it, I seen oil running out of the airbox snorkle. So I found that the oil was comming from the airbox. I took the airbox lid off, took the aircleaner out, and noticed all the engine oil was laying in my airbox. i did not overfill the oil. I knew that for sure, but raising the needle and turning the fuel screw should not have caused this to occur. So i was wondering if anybody would have an answer for why this is happening. Thanks.

Well then I would have to say that the oil in the airbox is from the crankcase vent line and if you did a wheelei or you had flipped the bike oil might have gotten into the airbox or if there was alot of oil from your filter and water and oil mixed so check the ventline and such and see if it is from that and hopefully no oil is coming through your carb which it prob isn't
