My son and a boy that's living with me crashed hard last night on our rancher.
My boy for the most part is fine.
The other not so good. In ICU as we speak. I'm told he did respond to pain and moved a limb slightly this morning.

I am such a helmet advocate but guess what...NO HELMETS!!
I am so upset about that. This would not have been so life threatening with a helmet.

PLEASE,,you and yours wear a helmet. Nobody plans a accident.

lt80,so very sorry to hear that,i hope he pulls through ok,you can tell kids all day long they just dont get it, please dont blame yourself,when he recovers[which i feel he will] he WILL have a deep respect for you and his helmet,take care,

 

You have our prayers here @ Raceway! Hope all turns out well! I am a big helmet person too. We had a friend to the shop and he just went up his own street 5 mph on his Honda CBR 900, some how fell doing NO more then 5 to 8 mph, hit his head and I am very very sorry to say he is no longer with us. Great rider great person but also no helmet. If I see someone riding without a helmet I always stop to tell them how dumb they are being! Just takes one time and your whole life can change from 1 TIME! I am 33 years old and have rode for just about 25 of them, I pick up my helmet before I pick up my keys! I hope others reading this can learn from this mistake!

If you have kids and you ever see them riding without there helmet for just a second take the bike away from the for a month! If you are lucky to see them do it again a second time, sell the bike! Its better to hear them cry all day then it is for you to cry all day!!!!!!!
