TBAP From H*LL No more thanks to Floodrunner...
#1
A few months ago, my 700 EFI started the Check Engine 41 & 46 (TBAP) issue. I searched the forums and found that apparently this is a common issue. Mostly dealing with poor wiring connections at or behind the sensor on the intake. I told my dealer that according the forums there was a kit available to fix the issue. I took it in, had the kit installed (under warranty), and all was good for a few months.
Last weekend I went out, and 41 and 46 came back again! This time I did some hunting and found that the number one wire had broken off right at the sensor (which due to the slot in the connector I was unable to push the pin out of the connector and fix this one wire)...
I remembered in the past reading that for his fix, Floodrunner suggested getting a Flat Four trailer connector and soldering in the connector directly to the sensor. I did that today, and I think its fixed for good now.
Too bad the factory kit didn't hold.
Thanks Floodrunner!
