Couple ?'s from the New guy again.

1. Whats the trick to getting the tool box lid back on? It appears to be a snap lid, but damn if I can figure it out.
2. Looks like I need tires soon. The only person I know with an ATV said to get mudlights for my type of ridings, ie: trail riding, hunting, mainly a utility vehical. I suppose I might hit a mud hole if the wife aint lookin. It has 25's on it now, whats the pros/cons of 26's or 27's. Ebay has 25's with steel wheels for 359.00 with free shipping.
3. Muffler? quiet is of upmost importance.
Thought I had more than that but I guess I forgot.
Thanks, Buk

If you are gonna to be riding the thing in the front yard mud lites are gonna mulch it pretty good. I have 489s on my ATP and I have been trailriding quite a bit. Never had any problems the 489s couldn't get me through, they don't mulch the yard like the PXTs on the wifes Sportsman do. If I ever go too more agressive tires I'll definately keep the 489s on the stock wheels to use around the house.

Oh yeah, you asked about 26s and 27s.
Upside of bigger tires is more ground clearance, if you go to a six ply tire they are going to be more puncture resistant.
Downside is they get progressively heavier as the size goes up, this is one reason the Mud Lites are so popular, they are fairly light in 26 and 27 inch configurations. Also as you get bigger tires the combination of increased weight and decreased leverage saps your low end grunt. I haven't looked at the Kenda's I do know you want to stay away form the Brigestone Dirtclaws, they come stock on Honda bikes and they SUCK. One of my riding buddys has a Foreman with stock tires and he gets hung in places I waltz right through on the 489s. Dirtclaws are ITPs best friend.
