no mods needed, you'll probebly need a spring compressor though

No mods needed, I have tryed a spring compressor. Honestly I feel it is more dangerous. I got one from Autozone and it was too bulky for this setup. You can do it without a spring compressor, by taking the tie rod and lower a-arm off of the strut housing. Then, loosen the 2 clamp bolts. The spring tension is not bad at all. Remove the upper strut nut. Do the spring swap, then put the a-arm on and the wheel. Then lower the quad onto the wheels, the quad weight will compress the spring as you guide the upper in to the mount. Put the upper strut nut on. Push the strut down until it bottoms out. Tighten the clamp bolts. Then remove wheel if you want to, to put tie rod and cotter pins back in.

Don't know how much different your springs and ATV might differ from what I did. But HERE is what I did. Good luck!

Thanks guys for all the help. Hopefully I get time this weekend to install them. Also the label on the bubble wrap the MV7 springs come in say the spring rate is 125-170 pounds.

Yeah I know, I read the MV7 springs were 75-170 pounds. Even the local Polaris dealer was wrong. Anyway, I hope they sag like my original springs do. I hope that when these sag they will be real close to what I am looking for.

I installed the MV7 springs on my 05 700efi. The ride is perfect. The bike does not bottom out nearly as often and is more stable at higher speeds. Oh... I did the install without a spring compressor and it took about 20 minutes total. Simple install.

I agree!! I finally got them put on. I have only ridden it in the cul-de-sac but it is not as stiff as I was afraid of it being. There is no way they are 125-170 pounds like the bubble wrap label says. I believe it is going to be close to perfect especially with the front spring preloaders from t-m-2. I will have the option to crank up the preloader when plowing snow. Mario's customer service at t-m-2 is phenominal.
