When I pulled the spark plug boot off the plug the boot and wire seperated. Does anyone know if you can put this back together to make it work. I see that Polaris sells the two seperately, but just pushing the two back together doesn't make a very secure connection. I was wondering if there is a trick to making it secure, does twisting the wire into the boot make it stay put. Looking in the boot you can see a stem of sorts that might go into the center of the plug wire. BTW this is an 04.5 sp 500 I'm working on.

they screw into each other. I replaced them on my 700. very easy. it should go right back if it came off. if not then try cutting the wire a little to get a good piece of metal on the inside to bet a good bite when u screw it back on

if your refering to the plug cap at the end of the plug wire it should have a screw end in there that you srew the cap to the wire. i replaced sevral on sleds using ngk replacement caps w/ no problem at all.
