"Wanted" Yamaha Mechanic "Reasonable"
#1
I have a 1998 Yamaha Timberwolf 250 (4x4) with a bad transmission. The problem is that it "Jumps" out of gear.I either need a "Good Reasonable" mechanic to rebuild this transmission or I need to find a complete bottom end (crank and Trans) that will fit my 1998 top end. If you know of a good, reliable Yamaha mechanic that is willing to do this on the side or a retired Yamaha mechanic. I would appreciate if you have them get in touch with me ! Sincerely, DeerMe

If you want to attempt it yourself ill help every step of the way that I can.
First off if theres a cover that the shift shaft goes into, take it off and see if there is a spring thats laying around broken.

JLsparky7 - Thank You for your email and your recommendation of DriverDoyle. My 4x4 is outside now but weather permitting I will take off side cover as you suggested and see if damage is evident. You sound knowledgable on this subject. Are you a mechanic or do you only work on your atv ? I appreciate your offer to help if I try to do this myself !!! Sincerely, DeerMe
