Raptor rear sprocket, how big can you go without having to space your rear skid plate down?

What is the biggest size rear you can go without having to lower the rear skid plate? I have a PRM skid but I thing they all have about the same amount of space between sprocket/chain and the skid plate. So if you have or know someone who has put a bigger rear on let us know if they had to space there skid plate down.

Thanks!

Good question. I would like to hear more about this before I order skids for mine.

Figure about a 44T maximum. If you space the rear skid down, you will diminish further an already dismal amount of ground clearance.

If you do Go and get some 22" tires to keep some clearance.

Are you shure you can go to a 44 rear tooth without lowering skid plate that seems like it would be to big there is not much room between the chain/sprocket and the skid plate with the stock 40. Do you have or know someone who has a 44 on the rear?

I have a 44 on my rear, but haven't tried to but the skid plate on yet, I will try tonight, let you know tomorrow. I must say the 44 is the way to go, at least for the dunes.
