I going to getting my engine bored and was thinking of getting a cam. I ride alot of woods and stripmines. I was thinking of a low to mid range, or could i get a mid to top range cam without losing any bottom end??

I just recently put in a high compression piston a cam and had my head ported and polished in my warrior.
First off are you just boring your cylinder with a stock piston?
I suggest getting a wiseco piston with that.
My Mechanic said he really doesn't like the top end cams because he said the angle of the lobs on the cam are steep. When they are that steep your valves slam shut rather then closing. (you know what I mean.) I put a mild cam in and it hasn't affected the low end at all. It really shouldn't with a mild cam.
Now that my mods are broken in. I have noticed a big jump in power. My quad just keeps pulling where before I would be screaming the thing like a 125. It was well worth the money.
Good Luck
