Take off driver side tank panel to get at coil, just use a scotch-lock connector and tap into the main electrical wire at coil, black with a yellow or green stripe with the hot wire, and you can put the ground on one of the front fender support bracket bolts that go the frame or on steering stem bolts at top.
The directions tell you that one wire is longer than the other and which is ground and so forth.

Do yourself a favor and solder the connection. I have seen more than a few electrical problems caused by scotch-locks. They are not worth a crap and should be thrown in the garbage.

I agree, they are junk, and I have had my fair share of problems with them, was just giving out info for the guy that wanted to install quick and race asap,
when proper time is alotted, a more permanant wiring should be done.
