What is the best blade setup and best price? I have looked at Cycle country and Moose. Do these blades work well for dirt also? Thanks for any suggestions.

the cc and moose plows are very close ,i like moose,as for the price i never found a good deal. have a 01 big bear plows really well.thinking about agricultural 27" tires,as for the dirt plowing you can dig in about 2.5 inches into hard pack after a pass or two , and can plow big mounds of loose soil around like in a garden

While I have a 98 banshee, and rip up dirt that way, I have a little info that may help you. Here it is. My dad had a 97 king quad, and I bought a straight CC plow for it, and it worked OK in dirt, and real good in snow. He recently sold the whole set up, and bought a 00 quad runner 500. Since we mainly plow snow, I wanted to try a tapered plow. Make a long story short, I bought a Moose county plow, and LOVE it. CC makes a simular one now, but it nowhere compares to the Moose. I am very happy w/ it, and know which Id buy again.

Hope I helped
Nate

I had a Moose plow on my Suzuki that got stolen. The MUD was beefy and easy to adjust. On my Yamaha I have a CC that I got really cheap from one of Northern's outlet stores. It is an ok plow. Last week I was at the Northern outlet store in Fridley, MN and they had a beefy plow from a company in New Richmond, WI. If I didn't have a plow I would have bought that one. Instead of having trailing arms for the blade there was a plate that bolted to the frame below and in front of the engine. It seemed like that would keep the ground clearance under the machine a little higher. You could give Northern in Fridley a call to see if they still have the plow or get the mfgr's phone number.
